Planning is well advanced for our next Analytics Forum meeting, now set for Tuesday 26th May 4pm to 7pm at BizDojo Wellington. Our theme for the session is ‘Young Analysts – Moving from Study to the Workforce’. Our format for the session will be:

  • An educators view of Analytics. Massey University are providing a speaker – Professor Leo Paas, Programme Leader – Business Analytics, School of Communication, Journalism and Marketing.
  • A managers view of Analytics. Vince Morder from Lab360 will talk about what it is like to bring new graduates into the team. This will cover recruiting, on-boarding, management and development of young analysts.
  • An analysts view of Analytics. We have two young speakers (Ernestynne Walsh – Consultant and Suhel Mangera- Trade Me) who will talk about their experiences in moving into the workforce from study.

All speakers will join together in a panel to answer questions at the end of the session.

Our sponsor for the session is SAS Institute, through their Academic Relationship programme. SAS Institute is a provider of technology and services to the Universities in New Zealand and also offer an effective Graduate Placement Programme to students.

Our event location, BizDojo is 115 Tory Street, Te Aro, Wellington.
